Cross-Cultural and Multicultural Psychotherapy

I incorporate an anti-oppressive, feminist lens in my work that appreciates how people shape their behaviors to survive in a society that marginalizes them. I have experience working with Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian folks who have felt misunderstood in a traditional psychotherapy setting. A major component of my work in cross-cultural counseling also affirms the existence of inter-generational trauma in families that cycles forward. If you are struggling with a sense of your identity or feeling misunderstood in your ethnic and/or racial identity, I can work with you to gain a sense of healing and clarity in these challenges.
